Still in operation today, and based in the Bavarian town of Kleinheubach, Scheurich were the most prolific producers of mid-century German ceramics. Scheurich offered a solid production program of classically proportioned forms and an endless array of exciting decors, that are highly collected today. Here we see the form 550-10 decorated in one of Scheurich's most captivating decors released in the 1970's. A short baluster shaped vase that features a dual-tone glaze of light blue vertical streaks over a darker navy blue glaze. The 550-10 has become a highly coveted form amongst collectors as they were produced in a vast number of different decors, and don't take much space, making them an ideal and spectacular shelf-sitter to display on mass!
