Description: ORIGINAL Vintage German made sword letter opener with scabbard. GERMANY is engraved in the uppermost left side of the blade just below the guard. I obtained this from an uncle that participated in WWI. As a young boy I was always intrigued by this sword and he would let me handle it under his supervision. I am 71 so I know this piece is near 100 years old. Condition of sword and scabbard is very good. Some black paint missing from the grip. Appears to be all stainless steel.
