Description: Available for purchase is this Vintage 1953 World War II Silk Escape Map. Map is new old stock. Shows creases from being folded. Map measures 23" x 31", Two sided. Shows portions of Romainia, Bulgaria, Ukraninian, Soviet territory. These map were issued to pilots with a handgun, and gold coins to bribe their way out if they were shot down or crashed. Some say the pilots wore the silk maps as scarfs. Map is in the original bag it was purchased in years ago when they were sold as surplus. Last two pictures are of the label on the bag.
