Description: Past Pattern #801This 1840s Fan-Front Bodice sewing pattern is an original Past Patterns designFACTORY FOLDED★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This fan-front bodice, item 0801 and the single skirt, item 0800 (a separate pattern), were fashionable between 1841-1847.Together, they may also be worn as an 1850s gown because daguerreotypes abound of women wearing the fan-front bodice in the 1850s.The illusion of a small waist is created with tucks at the shoulders which are drawn into shirring at the center front waist. The fullness at the center front waist may be fashioned into pleats. The bodice is mounted on a form fitting lining. The lining alone may be used as a pattern for a popular variation from the fan-front. The long form fitting sleeves may be made with or without a cap. The bodice is lightly boned and closes in the back with hooks and eyes. When ordering the bodice, please specify B, C or D cup size.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Multi-Sized 08-26Bust 32 ½ - 48Waist 24 ½ - 40Hips 34 ½ - 50★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Fan-Front Bodice fabric requires 45 inch fabric:Sizes 08-14 - 2-1/3 Yds. fashion fabric and 1-5/8 Yds. The subtitle states, Two Hundred Years of European and American Patterns for Printed Fabric by Motif, Style, Color, Layout and Period and 1,823 Illustration in Color. The ISBN is 0-8109-3853-7.
