Vintage Owl Bag Boho Purse Hand Tooled Leather Hippie Wear 1960s - 70s

Description: Vintage late 1960s, early 70s tooled leather bag with a bright owl face on the front and embossed M S initials on the back with sweet butterflies. The rich brown leather is textured, creating feathers with depth. The eyes and nose are hand painted. Well worn, the strong brown saddle leather also has lacing around the edges, a metal turnlock closure, tied shoulder strap, and a slip pocket in front. The bag is one large pouch with a slip pocket attached featuring detailed lacing. Great condition on the outside, with age appropriate scuffing and scrapes. I see no holes or tears. The leather is strong and pliable. There are no issues on the inside. No lining or makers marks. The strap is a soft leather and very comfortable. Approximate measurements are: 15" strap drop length. 10"W x 8.5"H x 3"D. When filled. Depth includes slip pocket. This was in storage, so it could use leather conditioner and use! It is a bit flat but fills well. As this was used, some tassle lengths are shorter than others. (Hanger is not included.
