Vintage Gunnarsson (?) Wood Hand Carved Boat Captain Figurine, Milton Berle (?)

Description: As you can tell from the question marks in the listing title, I’ve had some trouble confirming details about this piece. It most closely stylistically resembles Swedish Gunnarsson wood figurines from the mid-century, including the way it is signed on the feet despite the signature not legibly reading “Gunnarsson” (see last listing pic). I think this figurine might depict Milton Berle in the 1963 movie It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. If you have a better guess as to the subject or maker of this piece, please do reach out. The writing on the right foot (right when viewed from pic 11) looks more like numbers than the writing on the left. I think it’s either 86 or—less likely—98. I can’t make out the writing on the left but I believe it is the artist’s initials. It might read OG for Olaf Gunnarsson. Condition Decent — some smaller chips on the chest area (pic 2), a hole/break behind one arm with dried glue visible (pic 7), and a much less noticeable repair to the handle of the microphone (pics 4 & 9). I did the microphone repair myself with wood glue that I braced while it dried so I trust it to hold. It was already a structurally vulnerable point on the figurine even before the break so best to handle it carefully. This figurine is vintage and may show other signs of its age.
