Description: This is a vintage denim bag from the United States Army Postal Group Europe - USAPGE. Dating it to the 1980s, possibly 70s. This unit was closed in that name in 1988. It is a roomy denim duffel bag with a long shoulder strap and hand straps. I don't know if these were actual mail carrier bags or issued to service people for their use. It appears to be an actual mail carrier bag. The oval insignia on the front has some rub wear. All of the closures work well. One end has a snap closure and the other end has a zipper closure. There is a zipper pocket in front. It measures across the bottom long ways, seam to seam 19" and 6.5 inches wide, seam to seam. Of course, it is a deconstructed type bag, so depending on how full it is or how you carry it, the measurements would change. I measured from the top zipper to the bottom and it is approx 12 inches. If it is full, it would have an approx 10" depth. The small handles have a 7 inch drop and the should strap has an approx 17 inch drop. It has a great vintage, worn/washed out denim look - would make a great collectible or a current day duffel bag or shoulder/handbag. Buyer to pay shipping.
