Total small arms ammunition production from 1940-1945 exceeded 41.7 billion rounds, and of that total the Caliber .30 round accounted for 25 billion rounds in all loadings. Twin Cities Ordnance Plant was operated under contract by Federal Cartridge Co., with production starting in Feb. 1942. The plant was set up to produce both .30 caliber and .50 caliber ammunition. When it was finally closed in August 1945, Twin Cities had produced over four billion rounds of .30 caliber and 2.2 billion rounds of .50 caliber ammunition.Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for 4 unassembled cartons with dividers and 4 different Twin Cities Ordnance Plant labels - one M2 Ball, one M2 Armor Piercing, one M1 Tracer, and one M22 Frangible.
