Presented exactly as it was in 1984 using the original dimensions (10 15/16″ x 7 1/2″), interiors, layout, and material (newsprint interiors / lightweight cover paper) – including the unique printing defects and irregularities. This reproduction was even manufactured using the original machinery models (as much as still possible) – including the presses (Goss Community Offset Press), folding machine, and bindery equipment. Additionally, this book was completely printed and manufactured in Maine – exactly like the original TMNT #1 1st & 2nd Printings from 1984.A total of five (5) variant covers were made for this TMNT #1 1st Printing Reproduction but the interiors (including interior covers) all are exactly the same; only the exterior covers vary between them. Due to the 50+ year old manufacturing equipment used to replicate the exact process the original book went through in 1984, the entire print run (across all 5 variants) reflects a unique, minor crease running lengthwise near the page edge of the front cover. Also, many copies received slight damage due to the black cover and lightweight paper stock. HOWEVER, THESE TMNT #1 REPRODUCTIONS ARE RECEIVING INCREDIBLE GRADES! SINGLE COPIES: Single copies come bagged/boarded. Four options:NM/M (9.8) – high grade collectible copies – the best of the best! Excellent candidates for CGC Grading. Guaranteed 9.8 !!NM (9.4 – 9.6) – high grade copies with one or two very minor exterior cover flaws that pressing would likely eliminate (e.g., minor cover dents, minor edge warp, non-color breaking items). These are beautiful copies and look amazing – many of these are grading at 9.6 without being pressed!VF/NM (9.0) – medium grade copies with flaws that pressing won’t likely eliminate (e.g., cover machinery impressions, color-breaking creases/bends, edge chips).
