Description: THIERRY MUGLER 1989 Vintage Black Velvet Snap-Front Jacket & Skirt Suit Set 36 This is a vintage two-piece skirt suit set by Thierry Mugler, from 1989. It is comprised of a collarless jacket and pencil skirt. The jacket has a V-neck design and a snap-front closure. The jacket has ruched seams and the sleeves openings feature a curved detail. This jacket is paneled at the bottom and has a fitted waist. The skirt is short in length and it has a back-zip closure with an interior clasp and snap. This set is tagged a French 40, but would best fit a French size 36, which is equivalent to a United States size 4. It is composed of black cotton velvet fabric with black abstract burnout velvet fabric. The skirt is lined in black fine textile fabric. The jacket is partially lined in black fine textile fabric and ivory silk sheer woven fabric.
