Howard, REHUPA fanzine titled THE ROAD TO VELITRIUM. 8 1/2 x 11, 14 pages. Mint condition. Features the complete Robert E. Howard story under a cover drawn by Mahlon Fawcett for the issue. Besides the complete 8,000 word story, also reprinted full page are two rejection letters Howard received for the story in 1935 from Popular Publications and Standard Magazines. This is a horror/weird menace story which was rejected by one publisher for having too much horror, and by another for having too much adventure. I don't know if Howard ever submitted it to WEIRD TALES but it would have been perfect for that magazine as in one scene a man wakes up to find a rattlesnake on his chest!
