He married Sarah Leggott 25 July 1880 in McLennan Co., Texas. Sarah was born in Illinois, the daughter of Thomas Leggott and Esther Swain. Jake and Sarah's children include: Alice Mae (1882), John Lee (born1892), Thomas Henry (1901). Jake and Sarah rest in Bell Springs Cemetery, Bynum, Hill Co., Texas.The cabinet card measures 4.25 x 6.5 inches and has an 1898 copyright. It is in good condition for its age, but as to be expected with a cabinet card over 100 years old, it isn't perfect. There is aging and some wear along the edges. Please see photo scans for details.
