Description: A small 3 1/2" tall square / tower-shaped light SUN COLORED AMETHYST ( SCA ) sample WAW WAW sauce (?) bottle. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to the 1800's. Bottle embossed: "WAW - WAW". Condition: Bottle does have patina and the kind of wear that makes it look like it washed up on a beach. NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. to the glass. Age: An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's. Shipping: FREE domestic shipping. In the 1990s, a bottle collector in North Idaho, USA, JIM SINSLEY, became fascinated with these odd bottles, started collecting them and researching the history of them and concluded they were a sauce or condiment bottle, for food. He ended up with a variety of sizes and colors of them but the little sample bottles seemed to be the most evasive examples to find. This example is one of the few samples that he personally had in his collection. Everything about them makes them an interesting bottle from the name, the shape, the scarcity, all the way down to this sample size. A hard bottle to find, check it out!
