Description: Set of 6 vintage clothing buttons were produced in New Zealand, likely by an indigenous tribe. The buttons come mounted on their original, cardboard display card. The buttons feature slices of deer antler, with sew-through holes at the center. I would guess that the buttons were likely produced in the middle part of the 1900s -- but I'm not sure of the exact date. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall button condition: Solid VG+/Excellent..... The buttons do not appear to have ever been used and they are all in great shape. They will display beautifully. The display card has some definite wear, including creases, tears and repairs on the back -- using clear tape. But overall, it is still quite presentable. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting.
