This pin is not wrapped in plastic nor does it have a backing as it was originally sold as a part of a ticket holder and was attached to the plastic of the ticket holder. This pin has the dates September 26-28 on it commemorating the final regular season series played at Shea Stadium before it was torn down after the conclusion of the 2008 season. This pin is different as most other pins from this timeframe only commemorate the final game whereas this pin includes the entire series played against the Florida Marlins on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of that final weekend. This pin has the words I WAS THERE! above the words FINAL REGULAR SEASON SERIES. Below this the NY Mets and Florida Marlins logos can be found over the image of a baseball player.
