Description: Based on the research I have done I believe this to be a R.M. LAMBIE Brass/Cast Iron and Mahogany Dictionary Music Book Stand. In very good original condition and not missing any pieces. I believe it to be Lambie manufactured but there doesn't appear to be any trade marks on the item. It is dated Dec. 10. 95, so I believe it was produced in 1895. It adjusts up to 45+" and the wheelbase is about 2'. This has been in my family for a good many years. Can hold an oversized volume, large dictionary, artist book or bible. Really a lovely piece for the collector. During Halloween place a skull upon the bottom stand and you have a unique decoration. Add a spell book if you like. I am sad to see this go, but we are downsizing and so not only am I selling this lovely piece but am letting it go for siat a lower cost than similar items here on eBay.
