Description: You are looking at a very rare Heuer. This watch pre-dates the merger between TAG and Heuer. The production date happened at the time when they were starting to use TAG Heuer bands on Heuer heads. This is the black faced Heuer 984.013L men's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 Tag Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This model is best known for being the watch Leonardo DiCaprio wore in the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street". This is a men's size Heuer watch with a case size of about 38mm (41mm crown included). The crystal is in fair condition with several light scratches. The back casing is in good condition with typical light wear scratches. The bracelet is the TAG Heuer stainless steel and gold plated jubilee band. It is in fair to good condition with wear scratches, mild stretch, & gold wear. The clasp and surrounding area is in good condition with light scratches, gold wear, & desk rash. The bezel is in poor condition with heavy wear and scratches. New bezel inserts can be purchased on eBay for about $30. The hour markers look good, as they have darkened over the years. The hands look excellent. I personally like the vintage appearance and patina of the watch. There are aftermarket jewelers out there who will electroplate this watch and make it look new. I am aware of some if you are interested. This is easily the most affordable 984.013 on the market, due to its condition. With a few cheap upgrades (bezel insert & sapphire crystal) you could have a pretty good looking watch. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 6.5 out of 10 in condition. The watch is original and will fit up to a 7.45 inch size wrist. I do not have extra links. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has a quartz movement and it is 200 meters water resistant. It keeps accurate time and date. I always recommend having the seals tested before wearing in water. I do not guarantee water resistance in a watch of this age. Buy from someone with a 25 year history of selling authentic Tag Heuers, like myself. Please see my other TAGs for sale.
