Description: This is a beautiful Pre-1937 American Optical Lensometer Jr. Model M602. Serial number 2379 makes it an early one, probably early 1930's. It is in wonderful condition. The bulb lights, however I cannot figure how to get the light to shine up the path to the eyepiece. There has to be a way, but I cannot find it. So, I'm selling it for display or for your collection! I also found there is 1 small piece missing just under the stage that would hold the lens. I just found this by careful research. What a wonderful display this would make for home, office, doctor's office, classroom, etc. The cord is in good condition. This may not be the original cord and switch, but I'm not sure. Measures 17" x 15" x 7 1/2" and weighs 29 lbs. American Optical invented thier Lensometer in 1921. The first marketed AO Lensometer was first sold in 1921. The Lensometer measures the effective power and curvature of a lens. This will make a great addition to your collection!
