As to this particular volume's condition: the book is in fine condition, but there is a cut in the cover and the first page of the book, it looks as though someone put a razor to a palette of such books and pressed too hard, this book being on the receiving end of the damage. Otherwise the book is in fine condition, and there are certainly reinforcement tactics a collector could use to maintain the books integrity.
