Description: King Tut's Treasures Plate Set Of 4. Commemorating the museum exhibition of “The Treasures of Tutankhamun.” This collection travelled the U.S. from 1976-1979. First limited edition! Matching numbers on all plates #469/3247. This is a matching set! Made by Gorham China for the Ghent Collection. 1977. Rare! These plates may have been exclusive to Diners Club members. Plates include: #1 “The Golden Mask.” #2 “The Throne of Tutankhamun.” #3 “The Horus Falcon.” #4 “The Ivory Chest.” All plates are in their original packaging. Each plate wrapped in flannel cover inside styrofoam protector. Plus original shipping boxes. All plates comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, including registration paperwork which were never used. Each plate also came with a letter from John Chambers, Director of the Ghent collection. The letter explains the significance of the artwork on the plate. The letter (not the COA) from plate #1 is missing. Plates are 10.75” in diameter. All in “like new” condition. Phenomenal condition considering these plates are 45 years old. No chips or scratches. I believe these were never removed from their original packaging. See pictures closely.
