This flat base is ideal for those with a flat-topped slide or for those intending to file and blend the front sight base to match the contour of their pistol's slide for seamless installation. Wire-EDM machined from 4140 chrome moly steel and heat treated to a hardness of RC 38-40, this front sight is definitely going to withstand the test of time. This sight comes with a 0.100'' wide blade that is partially serrated. the Fiber optic rod is 0.060'' in diameter and is well shielded while also offering superior visibility.
