Description: This sale is for an NRD-535D chassis that holds a Sherwood SE-3 buffer amp that is coined the BUF-3 board by Sherwood. Originally we intended to remove this BUF-3 board from the chassis and offer it for sale on Ebay. However upon further research on the Sherwood Engineering website, we discovered that modifications were also done to the mother board of the 535D to enable operation of this board. Since we are unaware of what mods are required to manage this BUF-3 board, we decided to sell the entire chassis to simplify conversion. Thus, to use this SE-3 board, you would remove the various internal boards from your current NRD-535D chassis and install them into this 535D chassis. You would also be required to swap the front panel which is not very difficult as it plugs into this chassis. Once you manage this conversion, the receiver will enable you to utilize your Sherwood SE-3 with the NRD-535D receiver. We could extol the virtues of the SE-3, but do not believe that we need to do such as we expect that the buyer of this chassis is familiar with the advantages of utilizing the SE-3 with their receivers. This chassis includes the power supply and the various rear panel connectors. There may be some audio modifications and we have included pictures for you to make this determination.
