Title page is absent from vol 1. Pages are age toned with some smudging. A lengthy inscription followed by a signature that I can’t make out are on free end of vol 1 (could be someone important?). Lite markings on boards inner panels and end papers. Binding is thoroughly used. No editions or copyright year stated, circa 1862.
