Description: This is a small vase signed "Hawkes, Sterling, 19 PWTS." on the bottom. It could also be a candle holder because of the small size; I am not quite sure. The pattern appears to be cut in a pineapple design motif. The entire piece measures 5.5" high. The glass portion only is 4.25" high, and the top has a diameter of 3.5". The base has a diameter of 2 5/8". You can see some tiny bubble inclusions on the top rim of the glass. One of these is white and is under the surface. I tried to show this in the last two photos, but it is a little difficult to see. There is also one place on the outside of the upper rim which, if I look at it using a loupe, has a bubble inclusion that is protrudes a little from the surface, and can be felt if you run your finger over it. Significant tarnish throughout on the silver, but this lends it a great patina. Some surface scratches throughout on the bottom. It is a beautiful little piece with graceful lines. Overall in very good pre-owned condition, flaws as noted.
