Some sun-fading to cover edges and spine and minimal rubbing to boards. Heel of spine area has a blue stain, some light board dust. Front flyleaf shows a very small white stain otherwise the interior is clean and free of writing or wear. The unclipped dust jacket is in Fair to Good condition. Edge wear - lots of creasing, chipping including a few large chips, tears, some taped areas. Spots of soiling and sun toning. Central image of beautiful cover art remains colorful and intact. He was a noted explorer, who led expeditions in the 1920s tracing the possibility of a long-ago land bridge between Siberia and Alaska.
