Description: Grateful Dead Backstage Pass : 1989 : " Native American Indian & Eagle Design !!! " : '89 Summer Tour ! : July 15, 1989 ( 7/15/89 : 7/15/1989 ) - Deer Creek Music Center - Noblesville, Indiana ( IN ) : 1989 Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. ( GDP ) - Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) : ' Blue ! ' Native American Indian Design Version !! : Very-Rare !!! Native American ! & American Eagle ! Pass ... for the Summer Tour '89 ! stop - at Deer Creek !!! The Ultra-Rare ! " Blue ! " Indian / Eagle G.D. Pass Design !!!!! Grateful Dead Fans who love & live-for the Coolest ! of the Cool !! -- and the Rare !!! Wow, does this G.D. Pass design Native-American Masterpiece ! ever speak for itself ... Simply-Amazing !!! Offered here indeed is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) - and Very-Very Special ! - Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the '89 Summer Tour Show at the Deer Creek Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana ( IN ) on July 15, 1989 ( 7/15/89 ) !!! The Design on this Pass ... Whoa !!? Just-Amazing !! and it is so very-representative of the ' Pre-Reonegro ' G.D. Backstage Pass Era. In other words - more along the line of " Old-School ! " Mid-1980's / Late-'80's Grateful Dead Passes - for lack of a better way to say it. The design on this Pass is simply Amazing !!! A subtle, yet very-detailed image of an Native American looking up & on ... and, held so steadily on his raised arm is an American Eagle ! just spreading its Wings - about to Fly !!! To me, this is one of the Coolest ! G.D. Passes of All-Time - but of course, just my opinion. And ' Yes ! ' too - regarding the Grateful Dead '89 Summer Tour as one of the Very-Best !! In fact, I believe this Pass design was used maybe only one other time ? ... at the Massive ! Warlocks-style ! Meadowlands run in Jersey on the 1989 ' Fall ' Tour ?! I think that is correct ( only-twice ? ), but - I could be wrong. Just a solid " guess " for me. But, I do know for-certain that it was also issued for Bobby's 42nd B-Day ! on 10/16/1989, but - the colors were indeed different ... Yellowish & Orangish ( versus this Grey ! & Blue ! ). I Absolutely-Love ! the Colors used on this one & the Blue ' Hue ' ... is just Simply-Stellar ! - and so incredibly Perfect ! too, for the overall nature of this image. And, " Grateful Dead " ... well, it reads " Grateful Dead " either-way ! that you look at this font ! From top-to-bottom ... or, from bottom-to-top ( upside-down ! ) !! Whoa !?! ... right ? So-Killer. So ... I really can't say too much more about this Pass (other then check-out the Photos ! ) - as this one speaks very-well for itself ! And Musically ?! Wow ... as that is a whole-different ball of wax ! Which, when thinking of ... makes me immediately visualize Garcia playing his Black-Strat ( you know, the Suped-Up ' MIDI ' one ! ) - used during Space !!!!! Ha ! I mean hey, let's face it - maybe 7/4/89 Buffalo, or perhaps 7/7/89 J.F.K. were the strongest ' overall ' Shows of this Tour -- at least on the Eastern-Swing ( can't forget Expo ! too ... ). But, each one of these '89 Summer Tour Shows was So-Hot ! on their very-own, that after a while ... it's like comparing Apples & Oranges - all in one same Tour ?!? This run ... was just that HOT !!! I distinctly-remember that there was only one Deer Creek Show on this '89 Summer Tour ( this-one ! ... obviously ) - and ... I think it might have been the Very-First Time ! that the Band ever-graced the Beautiful ! Deer Creek Amphitheatre ?!! And, it happened right between the RFK & Alpine multi-Show runs - so, it was indeed one of those cases where both ! the Band and the Road & Sound Crew too - had to get in, get set, smooooooke ! the joint, and then ... get out fast ! -- on to Alpine Valley ! And, in my own opinion - that's what I thought made this Show so darn hot, being that the Band could have ' laid-back ' a bit, and took less-chances to make sure that things went smooth ... but, they didn't go that route at all - & instead ... this Show was all-about Attack ! -- and, naturally Precision !! too. The Bertha > Greatest Story ! - Walkin' Blues & Bird Song were like a 3-way tie to me, for the Set I ' Blue-Ribbon ' ! But, in Set II ... things got settled-in, and things got Hot !!! Foolish > Victim > Crazy Fingers > Truckin' > and then ... just a Glorious !!! delivery of Smokestack-Lightning !!! You know, one of these ... " We " mean Business ! here Fans !! Garcia got mellow ( yet, good-mellow ! ) in the back set ( China Doll / Stella / Brokedown ) ... but Ace ? -- well you know ... he kept " The Creek " a Jumpin' !!! -- Rockin' out way-nicely ... in the form of Watchtower & Sugar Magnolia !!! A Great ! Show at Deer Creek, and ... What a Beauty ! of a Backstage Pass !! One of the Coolest ! of this '89 Summer Tour ... and indeed too - one of the Rarest ! there is from this Magical Late-'80's G.D. run. Enjoy !!!!!
