Description: George Biddle, 'Hombre! Que Sin Verguenza! (Man! Aren't You Ashamed of Yourself!)', lithograph, 1928, edition 100. Signed and dated in the stone, lower left. Signed, titled and numbered '50/100' in pencil. A fine, richly-inked impression, on cream wove paper, with full margins (2 3/4 to 3 1/4 inches), in excellent condition. Image size 9 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches; sheet size 16 x 19 5/8 inches. Archivally sleeved, unmatted. In 1928, Biddle visited Mexico with Diego Rivera. This work is a commentary on the social inequities he witnessed; the well-dressed carriage riders in stark contrast to the poverty-stricken, naked children.
