Description: Garrity and Eveready Flashlight Lot (As-Is/Not Working) Description Up for sale is a lot of four pocket flashlights; some of which are vintage judging by their shape and others which are a little bit more modern, but yet still a bit old. There's only one known working flashlight in this lot and it's missing a rather crucial part (which is the front clear plastic protective lens cover). Anyways, you'll get the following in this lot... one Garrity branded green and grey pistol shaped disposable flashlight; which now has a very dim glow to it as the battery is dying and cannot (I repeat... cannot) be replaced; because it was basically manufactured by idiots. I mean; what the hell is a flashlight without access to a battery compartment, I ask you? This flashlight is from the late 2010's or possibly very early 2020's; I really can't recall how long we've had it here in the household. Next, we got a pretty cool looking flashlight that's made in Croatia and has a clear protective lens cover that opens up by a hinge. This flashlight has a slightly difficult to muster battery compartment (that's basically half of the flashlight itself). I tried it out by putting a pair of AA sized batteries into it, but unfortunately, it just doesn't come on. I really can't say for sure what the reason for it not working really is. It could be a faulty bulb or perhaps dirty battery contacts which may or may not have had battery acid accidentally leak onto them sometime in the past or it can be a faulty switch (which is that round blue AT&T symbol lookalike on the side of the flashlight) for all I know. I think this flashlight may have been from either the very late eighties or early nineties. After that, there's a blue Eveready branded flashlight that looks to be from the late eighties or early nineties... This pocket flashlight has always been a pain to not only get the battery compartment cover off, but to actually put the two AA sized batteries in is yet another mission in and of itself. Anyways, from the looks of things, it doesn't appear to be working. I don't necessarily think it has something to do with the contacts or the on/off switch, but may be the bulb itself is the culprit. Chances are that it may have burned out a long time ago... but then again, I could be wrong and there may be some kind of corrosion brought on by potential battery leakage that I'm failing to see. As far as I can tell, it looks pretty clean inside; so that only leads me to suspecting that the issue is with the bulb itself that needs to be replaced. I do see a dividing line for the front bulb cover compartment, but I don't think I've ever managed to actually open this up before. And honestly, I'm not going to start now because I may just accidentally break it if I attempt to open it up. Also the bottom of the flashlight (near the battery cover) has the following written/embossed on it... Brit. Des. Regd. No. 1023030 Made in Macau (Macao) and then it says Remove For Batteries with an arrow pointing towards the compartment cover which has the obligatory positive and negative symbols that indicate in what position the batteries are to be inserted. And finally, we're left with the only known working aforementioned flashlight in this lot which is missing some parts and has a rather dodgy switch. This black unbranded pocket flashlight also has a battery cover that takes up about half of the light's real estate and is also very tricky to remove without accidentally bumping into the on and off switch. As I stated before, this flashlight is missing its front protective lens cover and it too runs on AA batteries. The bulb is still working as shown in the photos, but the on and off switch tends to easily get pushed back by the contact strip. You really have to push it forward in order to hold it in place. By the looks of it, I think this pocket flashlight may have been from the eighties as well... it's just something with the overall box-like aesthetics that is a dead giveaway sometimes. Because of the general condition of the lights in this lot, I'm selling it all in as-is condition and pricing them to move. I figure if they can't be repaired somehow, they can probably be repurposed (such as the Garrity disposable flashlight which has the makings for a cosplay sidearm or something) so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
