Description: Rare early original vintage Carte de Visite albumen print of a painting depicting three French leaders standing on a platform surrounded by a throng of adoring onlookers. This is a vintage albumen print and not a copy or reproduction. This is possibly a painting from the Franco-Prussian War. Caption of back in French reads, “We pose every day and in all weather from 9 a.m. to 6 a.m.”. Photographer’s credit is “E. Baron - 82 Rue de Rambuteau (across from Les Halles)”. CDV measures 2 1/2 x 4 inches and is in excellent condition with no bends, tears, or creases and is very sharp and has strong tones with good contrast and clarity.
