Description: This is my last kept item from our time living in France. I have never shown it before.I found it so astonishing, such an amazing piece of history......This was purchased from an estate sale in Normandy. A small Châteaux where the last livingrelative lived. Most of her items at the time were sold to an antique shop. But the new owners opened the house for a sale of smaller furniture & pieces. There are no tears to the box. It was originally stapled together with large staples. These are much larger than we would use for light weight cardboard now. The thread is heavy,so I believe it was a necessity. Some minor discoloration to top. No odors.******************I DID NOT PHOTOGRAPH THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX, BECAUSE OF THE GORGEOUS GRAPHICSON THE ATTACHED TISSUE. I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD FURTHER TEAR. This beautifully created collar was tucked inside the box! Can you imagine my surprise & delight!?! It literally took my breath away.It has been kept in this display box, since brought it back.✨✨✨THE LACE COLLAR HAS MANY ISSUES. HOLES, PULLS, SOME DISCOLORATION - However, although it is very large measuring approximately 16 inches long by 16 incheswide.... It is extremely light weight and delicate!!!I can imagine around the neck of Queen Victoria ........ The box and thread cakes are in excellent condition for age. ❤️*****************PLEASE VIEW ALL PIC'S PRIOR TO PURCHASE*********************❤️ This will be CAREfully wrapped & shipped in a box. *******************THIS WILL NOT BE BEAUTIFULLY PACKAGED - IT FITS PERFECTLY & SAFELY IN A SMALL STRONG "Target" BOX WITH LOTS OF BUBBLEWRAP**************************** Thank you for visiting my shop!♥️
