Description: Flathead V8 Headers 1937 - 1948 Ford Car Truck Fits Other Models see Description Flathead V8 Headers 1937 - 1948 Ford Car Truck Fits Other Models see Description Click images to enlarge Description These budget Flathead V8 Headers fit 1937 - 1941 cars with Vega steering and 1942 - 1948 cars with stock steering. These headers are painted black, and include gaskets and bolts. These headers may fit a variety of other applications, but often you may need to alter the header some for clearance. Please note that as these headers are going on 60+ year old vehicles that modification for proper fit is not uncommon. Collector OD and Tube OD are both 1.75" Includes everything pictured. Application Ideas: These probably won't fit Model T or A due to narrow frame width, particularly on passenger side. These headers also may not work with stock steering on 1932 - 1934 cars, but are okay with the Vega cross-steer setup (check our Ebay store for the cross steer rack for sale). They work well in 1935 - 1941 Fords using our mount bracket and Vega box. 1942 - 1948 cars will probably require shimming of motor mounts to clear steering linkage. Most 1949 - 1951 applications will have fitting problems due to interference with steering box and/or linkage. On 1948-1952 pickups the steering box can normally be clearenced slightly so that the headers can be used (may require modification of the headers to do this).
