Many of these type of boxes have a black base, this one has a beautiful painted marble base as you can see, the detail is just amazing. The skirt and the mirror have a very shimmery appearance, like the light is in the paint almost. The hinge is good, nothing loose. The box measures approx 3" tall by just over 1.25" wide.
