Description: Eggshell Inlay Wooden Trinket Box Jar - Black Lacquered - Egg Shaped This beautiful eggshell inlayed, black lacquered wooden egg may not be a trinket box, but I could see someone placing their prized possessions inside for safe keeping. This came from the estate of a woman who was known to have traveled. I have no idea of its origins. It is a black, lacquered egg that appears to have what I believe is eggshell inlay. You can feel the texture of the white parts against the smooth black, shiny finish. Other than a few small scuffs that can barely bee seen, it is in very good, previously owned condition. I tried to capture the scuffs in the photos, but the lacquered finish makes it hard to see. They can only be seen from a certain angle, but don't really stand out. See photos.
