Description: This listing is for a wonderful vintage to antique 48 piece set of silverplate flatware from Community Silver Plate (Oneida). From what I can determine the name Community Silver was used from 1899 to 1935, when in 1935 the silverplate flatware was marked Oneida. This particular pattern is called "Georgian" and was produced between 1912 - 1940. All pieces are marked Community, so these pieces would have been produced between 1912 - 1935. Each piece is marked Community Plate or Community Silver Plate, with the exception of the knives which are marked on the blades Community Stainless. I assume this is because the blades are stainless. This set is a service for twelve; being twelve three piece place settings consisting of knife, fork, and teaspoon. There are only six large soup spoons. There are six additional serving pieces included with this set. The set being offered consists of: 12 forks, measuring 7 3/4" in length. 12 knives, measuring 9 1/2" in length. 12 teaspoons, measuring 6" in length. 6 large soup spoons, measuring 8" in length. 1 pickle fork, measuring 8 1/4" in length. 1 meat fork, measuring 8 1/2" in length. 1 ladle, measuring 6 3/4" in length. 1 large scalloped serving spoon, measuring 9" in length. 1 small ladle, measuring 5 3/4" in length. 1 sugar or berry spoon, measuring 5 3/4" in length. All pieces are in excellent vintage to antique condition. They will need to be polished. The flatware is a very high quality heavy silverplate. All pieces weighed together weigh just over six pounds. Beautiful pattern. Please feel free to ask any questions. Any excess shipping that may be paid is always promptly refunded.
