Description: For your consideration is a very rare mens 14K gold plated Cartier Jumbo Tank, New York boutique dress watch. Ref. 15716. Circa. 1970’s. Only 2500 produced for the NY Cartier boutique. The dial is 100% original in white with classic Roman numerals, and blue steel hands. Obvious patina, wear (spotting) on the dial can be seen. The case is 100% original with rare jumbo stepped case in 14K gold plated with original crystal, original rare large gold crown with blue cabochon and case back sealed by 4 gold screws. Only the New York boutique version has screws on the case back, large crown and serial number beginning with 12. The case back has wear and plate loss from what we believe occurred from sweat from the original owner who used it as a daily watch for decades. The case measures 22.5 x 37mm. The movement is a high grade Cartier manual wind movement. Telling good time when checked but no service history is known.
