Description: Rare set of 10 Bronte Sisters Shakespeare Head Press 1931 Limited Number to 1000 prints equally divided between Great Britian and the United States. These being numbers 154/500 of the Large Print US Edition. Please read completely prior to purchasing. Any questions, please ask prior to purchase, I am quick to answer. There are a total of 10 books and titles are listed below and shown in the photos. Please be aware these are almost 100 years old and there are condition issues as shown in the photos and explained below. The books are hardcover without jackets. The outside shows use over the years including damage to 4 of the spines at the top (Agnes Grey is ripped 1", the 3 others have very tiny rip marks less than 1/4"). The hardcovers do look dingy/a little dirty from years of handling on the green hardcover areas. Also on tops from sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Corner edge wear is shown. The cut of the page edges is called "Deckle Edged" or Rough Cut (uneven edges). There is no writing in any of the books. Pages are crisp. Bindings are good. There is tanning / discoloration / spotting on the inside of the covers and on some of the pages throughout the books. I noticed a page rip at top of one book (Jane Eyre). Some of the books have ‘uncut’ pages at the tops where they were NOT cut during print, see photo for description. Overall, in my opinion the books are in good condition for their age.
