If there are any obvious bad odors on the item as far as I can reasonably be expected to notice, I will have disclosed them in the description above. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays do NOT count as business days and I do not usually ship on these days. If your payment falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, I most likely won't ship your order until Monday or Tuesday. The post office is usually closed on federal holidays so I am not able to drop off on these days at all. There may be an extra delay if you order during a long weekend. USPS also does not always scan in the item the same instant I drop it off at the post office, there can sometimes be a delay of several hours or a few days that I have no control over. Similarly, if there are unusual conditions near your delivery address such as extreme weather (snowstorms, etc) there may be a delay that is out of my control. If you are buying books or DVDs from me it will usually be shipped via media mail which can be much slower but much cheaper than regular mail.
