Up to six virtual racers can compete online, through the PS2 Network Adaptor, and real-time voice chat is supported for those with a compatible USB headset device. While earlier Offroad Fury releases came from Rainbow Studios, this 2004 edition was developed by Climax Group, which had previous success with its own cross-platform ATV: Quad Power Racing off-road racing games.
