The was years, 1941-1945, evacuated, he spent in Kirghizia with hismother and brother. His father was killed in action. The was ended and the family came back to Kiev. Young Venyamin's artistic gift was revealed early in secondary school. He consecutively studied and successfully graduated from were V. Dukhnovsky and D. Lider, both artistic-academicians and masters of the Ukrainian arts.Between 1967 and 1991, Zaslavsky was the principal artist of the Kiev Operetta Theater producing more than seventy shows. In addition, between 1974 and 1992, he taught art at the theater department of the Kiev Art Institute. He is a member of the Ukrainian Union of Theater Artists, and an honored artist of Poland.Artist Zaslavsky paints mostly architectural landscapes of Jerusalem and other places of Land of Israel.
