Description: Antique Expanding Sliding Art Nouveau Book Rack Copper & Brass on Iron. Art Nouveau era cut-out filigree flower or sun pattern. The ends are copper color and the framework is brass color but the parts are magnetic so it is an iron or steel construction. I collected bookends and bookracks for years and this style is attributed to Kronheim & Oldenbusch or possible Bradley & Hubbard but I could not find it marked anywhere. I guarantee it is a genuine pre-war era bookrack. Measures from about 10 1/2" to 18" long, the ends are 4 7/8" square. The bottom side had 4 button type feet, 1 at each corner, these feet are now missing but easy to replace. The finish has normal wear and a nice aged patina. Please see my 10 photos.
