Description: 1980s Pleasant Company / American Girl Samantha Parkington 18" doll comes with her original outfit, including dress, bloomers (not pictured but will be included…elastic is out of the waist on them and they don’t stay up but I will include them) stockings, shoes, and hair bow. All items are Pleasant Company. Her tights say 1993 Her dress says 1986 Samantha can stand on her own. Her body is cloth, tan color. No cosmetic defects detected except for a slight mark on one hand and cheek. See pictures. She is very, very clean otherwise. Her hair has some flyaways that need attention, but it is still in its original style! Her eyes do close when laid down. Please note that this is a used item, so perfection should not be expected. Other information about American Girl I was able to research to include with this listing (I am not an expert but trying to list to the best of my ability)…. 1986 was when company first started so that's a copyright year. 1993 was when they switched the color of the dolls bodies from white to light tan for skin color. This is Samantha Parkington & she is marked Pleasant Company on her neck. She was made in Germany... Doll was made before Mattel bought Pleasant Company and changed it completely to American Girl name.
