ADAPTER for Blackhawk T-SERIES/SERPA Holster to Safariland (QLS/Belt Loop/etc.)

Description: PLEASE READ: This adapter is designed for duty and tactical use of T-Series, Serpa, Epoch, and similar models of Blackhawk holsters. It WILL work for Omnivore holsters, but the design is not optimal for them, nor is the metal reinforcement necessary on an Omnivore. A Blackhawk holster and Safariland QLS or other Safariland belt loop/rig are *NOT* included, plus you must have the 3 mounting screws that came with the holster as well as at least 3 of the medium or short screws that came with the Safariland product.) ------------------------------------------------------- This is a polymer adapter plate with a metal insert that connects to a Blackhawk holster on one side, and to a Safariland QLS or other Safariland belt connection rig on the other side, allowing you to use your holster with the QLS mounting system or whatever other Safariland belt equipment you're currently (or prefer on) using. The adapter works with all Blackhawk holsters and Safariland belt-side kit; if there are any exceptions, we are not aware of them yet. Connecting hardware: the adapter comes with steel T-nuts that work with Safariland screws for the adapter-to-QLS (or other belt connector), with their 3/8" screws (overall screw length is 1/2") that have a "serrated/stair-step texture" on the underside being the best to use, although non-serrated or differently sized Safariland screws will work; the adapter to Blackhawk connection uses the screws that came with your holster. Do NOT use any grommets/spacers/washers/etc.when attaching the adapter! ------------------------------------------------------- Important Installation Notes: See second picture for which side faces towards the holster, and which side faces towards the QLS fork or Safariland belt paddle/rig; it is possible to accidentally install it the wrong way around, and doing so will very likely lead to the plate breaking under use.The bolts holding the adapter plate to the holster should only be *hand tight* - as soon as the holster can no longer "slide around", you shouldn't tighten it much farther (perhaps 1/4 a turn or so). Over-tightening can lead to deformation and/or cracking of the adapter around the screw holes, which can lead to an unnecessary failure of the adapter.BOTH SIDES of the adapter plate should be FLAT/FLUSH against both the holster side and QLS fork/belt paddle/rig side of your system. Placing gaskets/spacers/O-rings/shims under the screws or T-nuts that go through the adapter plate, and/or between the adapter plate and whatever it is attaching to, will allow the plate to bend and break with use.Although it is theoretically possible to attach a Safariland holster to a Blackhawk belt loop/rig, this adapter is not designed for that use, and doing so will possibly lead to damage to your equipment and possible cracking or breaking of the adapter.
