Description: I'm not really sure what this stuff is, except it has a sticker inside that says Herculon and numbers that aren't modern to describe the weight. This spool on cardboard weights 6 lbs and 9 ounces in total and is about 11 inches tall and 8.5 in diameter - so who knows there are definitely many yards of this brown stuff on there. I believe this is Olefin now, and was a manmade fiber back in the 1960s made by Hercules called Herculon. Just lots of thin threads not really wound together but that's what the string is sort of like a loose yarn. The sticker has Herculon, 72, 2600 100-, brown - 618, 6618/2 25. There doesn't appear to be spaces in the '6618/2' so that throws me a bit. Anyhow, if you have a use for it I can wrap it up and send it off to you. There is 6 and half pounds minus the weight of the cardboard cone left so you should be able to make that solid brown, I don't know, maybe house size rug, with it. I'm sure that's an exaggeration. I think this stuff was supposed to be an improvement on polyester. The item winner is to pay for the shipping charge ebay sets there, if you get more than one thing try to use the 'add to cart' button instead of the 'buy it now' one as sometimes that way the computers can figure out the postage savings automatically....still though sometimes we just have to do it later. Anyhow, I'm just an easy going farmer so if you aren't happy with the item, no big deal, just let me know. We are forced to use managed payments now and I'm not sure how that works so I guess the payment stuff is at your end. I'd rather not ship this internationally because the cost would be horrendous, but if you need a quote let me know. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
