Description: PRODUCT: New Crystal Clear Slipstreamer® #S-170-M replacement windshield. It is designed to directly replace the shield on most Vetter brand fairings. FITS: Vetter Vindicator and Windjammer FAIRINGS I, II, III, IV, V, and/or SS models. These highly popular Vetter brand fairings were often found on the 1975-1983 Honda GL1000 and GL1100 Goldwings. This windshield fits the Vetter brand fairings ONLY. It will not fit the Hondaline fairings, nor any of the other fairing brands. SHIELD SIZE:21" tall. 22 1/2" wide. 3/16" thick.DESCRIPTION: This shield directly replaces the shield on Vetter fairings listed above. When replacing this shield, you will likely find the old plastic screws are difficult to remove and sometimes unsafe to re-use. So, provided with this shield is a brand new hardware kit that consists of black plastic screws, nuts and upper clips. This shield is made of Lucite® which is a very nice windshield material. It is one of the most rigid motorcycle windshield materials on the market. It is one of the most optically clear materials available. Lucite is more optically clear than hardcoated Lexan® windshields are. Lucite resists yellowing more than most other windshield materials. Another nice advantage of Lucite is that it does not have to be coated with any hardcoating. Hardcoated shields deteriorate rather quickly, making this Lucite shield a wise long term investment. The picture in this ad is of one of these shields installed on an old Vetter fairing.
