Every year since 2005, Banco de México (with the support of the Casa de Moneda , i.e. the Mexican Mint House) would issue a 5-coin gold proof set in a pretty wood box that contains 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz coins. The 1oz (denoted as "1 ONZA" on the obverse) coins have seen some of the rarest mintage in modern coins, especially considering they are designed to compete with the popular American Eagle and the Canadian Maple Leaf. The highlight would be the 2014 "key date" - only 250 sets and only 250 of the 1oz coins are minted. For US collectors, just imagine if US mint issues only 250 1oz gold proof American eagles!
