Description: This listing is for the 2010 5-coin 5-ounce America the Beautiful (ATB) National Parks set in an Elegant Display Box. This set is still like new in all original packaging, has never displayed, and has never been removed from capsules! Not only is the 2010 series the first of the ATB series, it is also the first time the US Mint has produced five-ounce coins. As described by the US Mint, "The America’s Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008 authorizes the production of five-ounce, .999 fine silver bullion coins replicating each of the designs featured on the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters. The bullion coins are three inches in diameter and have a nominal face value of 25 cents. These are the first five-ounce, three-inch, .999 fine silver bullion coins ever produced by the United States Mint. The fineness and weight are edge-incused on the coins." The description goes on to say "The collector (“numismatic”) version of the bullion coin is produced with an uncirculated finish. It has the “P” mint mark for the United States Mint at Philadelphia."
