Description: Wonderful rare pair of high quality posters in English and Russian from the UKIYO-e Prints That Van Gogh Loved and UTAGAWA SHOKOKU Exhibition from September 6, 1995 - November 8, 1995 at The State Hermitage Museum, Russian Federation St. Petersburg. Both posters are in pristine condition with only minor verso residue from a prior floating mount. The exhibition was provided by the Utagawa Society of Japan and overseen in Russia by the Japanese Consulate General. Posters measure 20" x 28". The English language version features a portrait of Van Gogh and the Russian language version features The tribute work entitled A Bridge In The Rain created by Van Gogh through his love of the original Japanese woodblock print maker. I cannot find any of these wonderful exhibition posters available for sale so it is difficult to assess a listing value. As usual through my Living Estate Sale I will offer meticulous free shipping, a worthy charity donation and utilize the "BEST OFFER" format for all buyer considerations.
