Description: This is an original 1973 GI Joe "The Search for the Stolen Idol" comic (A Peter Pan Book - No record) from Hasbro Industries. It measures 7 5/8" x 7 ". It is 23 pages. It is in very good condition - No tears, no marks, no missing pages. It has small wrinkle on lower right corner. See photos. It comes with a new clear poly sleeve. This comic was written by Ken Sobol (1938-2010), who had written for many animated shows, including some of Nelvana’s early successes (A Cosmic Christmas, The Devil and Daniel Mouse). Other animated series he wrote included Batman, Superman, George of the Jungle, Highlander, Karlsson on the Roof, Curious George, G.I. Joe, The Hardy Boys and The Wizard of Id, to name but a few. It is illustrated by Carl Pfeufer (1910-1980) an American comic-book artist, magazine illustrator, painter, and sculptor. He was an early, Golden Age contributor to American comic books; one of the primary early artists of the Marvel Comics superhero the Sub-Mariner; and the longtime artist of Western hero Tom Mix's comic books, among many others.
