Description: Popular Speedtimer large cushion 1970s divers chronograph Seiko automatic watch known as the Military model. Automatic Seiko 7017-6040 chronograph. Looks and functions like a much more expensive watch on the wrist for the money. Consider all of these features: The watch has a flyback timing feature that can be reset without stopping it by pushing the lower button or it can be stopped traditionally with the upper button. Great orange accents with internal rotating bezel and day/date display. Has Kanji and English day displays, with a unique quick-set day function activated by pushing in the crown and the date advanced by rotating the crown at the first stem position. Rated for 70M diving. Big presence on the wrist measuring 41.4mm across the center. These Seiko are one of the great values in automatic vintage chronographs from this time period. Made for Japanese domestic market. All of the functions are working as they should, though we recommend the watch be serviced soon due to long-term storage. Comes with two steel bracelets. Both bracelets have wider, flared sections of links at the connection ends for perfect transition and taper from the large watch head. They also both each size in a wide range. The black flat links bracelet really carries the black of the dial through the band and is especially striking and unique for this watch. The sliding clasp bracelet is quite slim and highlights the unique shape of the watch head. The two-piece clasp band will fit smaller wrists and the black links band has 8 adjustments in the clasp to fit someone with up to a wrist size of up to 7 1/2 inches (19cm). When reviewing the many photos, which serve as a large part of the description here, keep in mind they mostly magnified 2.5X to clearly show the characteristics of this watch. However, tiny details shown in macro pictures are not relevant when viewing the watch in person. We've just replaced the crystal, so viewing is perfectly clear.
