He was killed in an airplane accident in New Guinea. Leading the procession are Lt. Col. James C. Crawson, Protestant Chaplain and Major Harold J. Barr, Catholic Chaplain, both of Los Angeles. Pall bearers are Harry Williams, Sydney Morning Herald; Dean Schedler, AP; Frank Frist, ACME; Jim Vine, Brisbane Courier-Mail; Robert J. Doyle, Milwaukee Journal and Thomas Shafer, ACME.
